About us

Teachers

Our teachers are all native German speakers. They work according to modern, communication-oriented methods of foreign language teaching. When designing lessons and selecting teaching materials, the age and language ability of the different learning groups are taken into account.

School Administration

The German School Rochester, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization recognized by the IRS and a New York State Nonprofit Corporation. All students or their parents, as well as teachers, are automatically members and have the right to attend member meetings and elect the school board.

The president, treasurer, and vice president of the administration are elected at the organization’s annual general meeting. The director and secretary are appointed by the elected board. Parents can assist on a voluntary basis, thereby contributing to the enrichment of the school community.
