Activities

Throughout the school year, we celebrate German culture. By this, we mean not only seasonal events like the Saint Martin’s parade, St. Nicholas Day, Carnival, and Easter, but also historical events like the fall of the Berlin Wall. Other important topics are the school system, the tradition of the school cone on the first day of school, food culture, regional dishes, music, film, literature, and even recycling. These events make the language appear lively and relevant. They help to build intercultural competence, promote a sense of community, and increase retention.
